Greetings from Salesian Missions!
Salesian
Missions is in close contact with our confreres in the Philippines and
with the Salesian NGOs of the Don Bosco Network In working out a
coordinated response to assist the victims of the typhoon.
Thanks
to all those confreres, communities, and apostolates who have promoted
the Salesian Missions Philippine Appeal Link on their websites, email
blast, and social communications vehicles (FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn,
etc.)! So far over 94% of our relief donations have come thru the web.
Thanks ever so much for your help in spreading the word.
We
have a dedicated link for our relief efforts which is
http:/www.salesianmissions/typhoon. In whatever way you could spread
knowledge of this link would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
to the communities that have already sent in contributions for the
funds and for the planned fundraisers in the various apostolates. On
behalf of our confreres in FIS and all our suffering brothers and
sisters in the Philippines, many and sincere thanks for all your
efforts.
Fraternally,
Mark
PS:
If there was a need for our Salesian Presence to street children in the
Philippines before the typhoon, how much more will there be after the
typhoon with so many children having lost their parents and families.
This video might help to show the impact that the Salesians in FIS have
on street children http:/www.salesianmissions.org/dream
